So, how should we reinforce the prefab house?

Here are three main methods:

1、Reinforce the stainless steel angle bar and beams

2、Use polymer mortar technique in the steel wire mesh

3、Reform the cast-in-place slab

Two specific ways to reinforce the prefab house:

1. In the vertical direction:

Adding R.C. columns ( 240·300, the diameter is 12-16, stirrup is 6@200 ) to each span of the outer wall. Adding a proper number of columns on the both sides of the gable and considering placing beams in each direction of the corner post.

2. In horizontal direction:

Laying R.C. beams to connect with the corner columns at both sides of outer walls, and tighten them with rebars. You can use the bolts to tighten them up or pass a steel plate through the columns and welding them. It is also useful to add beams on the roof, but remember to make holes to allow for drainage. If the earthquake really happens, there are two best hiding places for you: the bathroom and kitchen. On the one hand, both of these two places are made of cast-in-place structures due to the waterproofing requirements. The natural strong structural rigidity of small spaces also ensures that they are not easy to be damaged. On the other hand, both the bathroom and kitchen have a certain amount of water, you can even find some food in the kitchen.
